Hospitality LAN Installation Technician
- Manage high speed internet access (HSIA) wireless network installations (HP, Cisco, Ruckus, Cisco Meraki); coordinate and participate in HSIA installations, including coordination with the carrier and verifying that the installation team and subcontractors have all necessary equipment and tools to complete the job on schedule and according to the Statement of Work (SOW).
- Inventory all equipment prior to installation.
- Manage and update the HSIA related installation documentation necessary to effectively support the customers HSIA equipment, pre and post installation.
- This documentation includes the network drawing prepared in Microsoft Visio, Network Equipment port maps prepared in Microsoft Excel.
- Manage onsite subcontractors, as required, during the installation to ensure installations are completed on schedule and according to the SOW.
- Work and take directions from the Project Manager assigned to the project.
- Prepare daily reports to submit to the Project Manager regarding the project.
- Document installations and provide an As-Built, post installation utilizing Visio, Excel and Word.
- Survey properties for HSIA wireless network installations (HP, Cisco, Ruckus, Cisco Meraki), including but not limited to signal strength testing, evaluating cabling requirements, labor requirements, equipment needs, etc.
- Document services and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
- Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Mandatory – experience programming and installing routers, internet gateway servers, layer 2/3 ethernet switches and wireless access points (HP, Cisco, Ruckus, Cisco Meraki) in commercial environments.
- Excellent networking skills in order to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Ability to follow instructions on paper or commands via a phone conference during the installation/deployment of hardware or software or while resolving a hardware or software problem.
- Ability to work under time constraints and to interface with clients.
- Experience with computers and software programs such as email, Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Great prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience with WIFI survey software and tools such as Air Magnet and Fluke WIFI Testers is a plus.
- Experience with A+, Network+, CCENT and CCNA are a plus.
- Experience with Linux is a plus.
- Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- May occasionally be required to lift up to 125 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working in small spaces and/or various heights.
- Employees must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
- Employee will be required to climb ladders in a safe manner.
Education/Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited two-year college, university, or technical school with major course work in computer science or any equivalent combination of certifications, education and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge.
- At least three (3) years experience.
Travel: Expect to travel 85% of time including overnight stays.

Structured Cabling Technician/Installer
At Parity Technology Solutions our cabling and installation team is tasked with the nationwide installation of structured cabling (Cat6, Coax, Fiber, etc.) in commercial structures of all sizes, both existing and new construction properties. They are also responsible to terminate, test and certify all cables installed. In addition, our team assists with the installation of DirecTV systems, camera systems, audio systems and WiFi access points. Experience in these or similar fields (Electrical, Construction, CATV, etc.) is helpful, but not necessary.
Candidates need to be reliable, take direction and work independently, be in reasonably good physical condition, able to climb ladders up to 12′ and lift up to 50 lbs. The position requires travel and one- to two-week stays at installation locations.
Entry level, hourly wage is no less than $15.00 p/h during first 90 days. Raise will be awarded commensurate with performance.
Previous successful entry-level hires are earning over $40k annual salary within 36 months.
All travel and lodging is arranged and paid for by Parity Technology Solutions.
Additional part of the compensation package includes a generous, above national average, weekly per-diem, to be used however employee chooses.
A company use cell phone and laptop are provided after 90-day probationary period.
Raises and bonuses are awarded commensurate with production and performance.
